Riddles

ok, ive got one for you.

In marble walls as white as milk,
surrounded in skin soft as silk,
in a fountain crystal clear,
a golden apple does appear,
there are no doors or window in this strong hold,
yet theives break in and steal the gold.

OK the answers to mine are as follows
1) A Shadow
2) The Heart
3) Silence
4) Nothing
5) Your Breath
6) The Ocean (or Sea)
7) Dew

Your probably thinking "OH, now I get it!". I did too when I found out the answers.

Heres one that has four possible answers (though I only remember 3 of them). Let's see if you can guesss all of them in two weeks time.

You have two of them. A potato and a "storm" (tornado will work). The others are wrong.

That's correct. Day and night, though sun and moon was the right idea.

yeah, i learned that like, a long time ago, too. it was one of my first riddles! (actually, i think it was the first one)

That might have been my first riddle as well, but it's a close tie with the riddles in Hobbit, which I think I read not much later. Idk, everything gets fuzzy when I was that little.

A riddle I just made up, sorry if it sux!

It stabs and rips apart
Every human's heart
Yet sometimes it can Heal
Like a warm and loving meal

Even still
It remains untouchable.

who knows.

Well...when you speak, can you touch the words? When you read a story, can you touch the world created in front of you? When you read poetry, can you touch the emotion arisen in you? Yes, you can touch ink printed on paper, but in that way words are untouchable.
