My work

It...Relates to me, i guess, or people ive know. Not only that but its all so true. To yourself and to others. Its totally deep down in the soul stuff.

Well, for me I guess I like the emotion that pours out through your poems, also the fact that most of them (except for Shadows) are pretty short and to the point, the fact that you aren't hindered by rhyme and rythm, the flowing word choice but without great big words, and perhaps too the simplicity of each of your poems (again excluding Shadows).

I thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad you were all honest.

@Jenu, I wrote Shadows mostly as a challenge to myself. It turned out pretty good, for the reasons behind it, but I still think it could have been better.

MoonRise Waiting

Wishing for night to come
For the leave of the sun.
I want to view the moon
I hope she rises soon…

Passing through twilight’s gleam
Life is not but a dream.
Upon the cold air rests
All the hopes, worst and best…

I sleep nocturnal now
Although I know not how.
I pass into night’s home
Over the ocean’s foam…

Yet, no moon do I see…
I fall to wounded knees
Heart’s grief for all to view
Wish for love on sea, blue…




Leaving

Friend makes stupid choices,
Deep within rise the voices.
Music tames the beasts within
Hope my rage passes again.

Divided mind, split desires
Friend’s choices feed mental fires.
Holes in walls show my anger
Fear my friends are in danger…

I cannot remain darkened
And I will not be harkened
To return. Need seclusion,
And not a peace illusion.

When control I have regained
Fate will bring end to my pain.
Only then will I return

I mean all that's said in Leaving. I will be gone from this place until I regain control of my demons. She who is spoken of in the first verse can figure out why for herself...
I will hold to my promises for my attendance to future events, but it's going to be a risk.
I leave you with my fondest wish that you'll leave me in peace, but should you absolutely require me; Eve, Luna, Vamp, Cookie, and DragonBullet all have my number and probably wouldn't mind relaying messages to me during my absence...
I'll give you a more detailed account for my absence upon my return, when my demons have calmed and I can think clearly once more...

I am not one person... this you must understand to understand me in my entirety. My mind is divided between two personalities. One you all know and love (me), the other I keep sealed away in defense of myself, my friends, and my family (my "demon").
We each have different talents, mine is the written word (NOT the spoken!), his is skills with various weapons and fighting styles. Between the two of us, we can take a life just as easily as save one...
Whereas I am friendly and peaceful, he is a being born of hatred, sorrow, and rage.
My cousin and sister have met him firsthand, my parents have seen him, but none know him, and for that, I'm glad...

Whenever I myself get mad (or emotionally hurt), it makes it that much easier for him to appear (my sister, it seems, has learned this... she doesn't annoy me with the frequency she once displayed).

I fear this being, yet I cannot relieve myself of this curse. So, if ever I dissappear (after an experience I'd rather not relive, more often than not), this is what I'm taking care of. I do not mean to seem rude by these absences, I mean to protect my friends...


He's back in his mental chains now, so I have returned, but I'm still pretty unstable...

Now you all probably know why Rive is so solitary... I wrote myself into him more than any other of my characters... Only his "demon" can take physical form, unlike mine.

but if you think about it, Rive isn't alone, and neither are you.

I know I don't know you very well, but I'm here for you too.

And, btw, I know exactly what you mean. Did you know that my name JENU is an acronym (?) for Jakara, Ellidora, Nera, and Ulindria.

...Jakara is my demon. And just like you she comes out when I'm angry or upset or sad, and there is no controlling her once she's fully let loose. It takes all the control of the other three to hold her down sometimes, but she does come out she can do some truly horrible things (she HAS done some truly horrible things). And sometimes I wish more than anything that I could just be rid of her once and for all, but the truth is that oftentimes she protects me from getting hurt even more by those I love. v.v Iz very sad, but I say all that to let you know that I know what you're going through. *huggles magician*

I think we all know, in our own way.

@DLHP: That's why Rive is with the other Heroes, why he forged a friendship with someone who wanted to kill him (Alexander Corvidae Oden). I bent that character to match me way too much.
@Jenu: I only have Jarrel Samael Fulgen (my Demon). I use the name in a few of my RPs and stories, but that's where it originated.


As to future works, I'm still working. My muse has been absent recently, so I may be out of poetry for a couple months. Just want to give you all fair warning.

I hope you're feeling better now though...

Aside from the lack of muse and the new hole in my room's wall, I'm fine.

XDD. Try finding a cool painting, that's often their best use--covering holes in the wall.
