A Contest Reborn

OK. By now I would guess that anyone interested in competing knows the rules.
1) No poems of extensive length (use The Child's Legend for a rough estimate on length)
2) Nothing rated above "PG"
3) It is preferred that entries be poems nobody's seen before.
4) Entries will be taken for 2 weeks, then voting will continue for a week.
5) I ask that nobody post anything but entries until voting has begun.
6) Any post that is not in praise of a poem, or providing CONSTRUCTIVE criticism will be deleted.

Not in stone and mortar,
Nor in wood with nails.
But rather in the arms
(Those warm, caring arms)
Of a beautiful singer,
The love of my life.

Angels and Fairies

Angels and fairies
(whichever you believe)
Will come down to visit us
on this Christmas Eve.

First for the angel:
Her golden rays of light
will touch every soul
on this Winter night.
She'll bless all the people
from many walks of life,
and fill them with hope,
while rid of every strife.

Now for the fairies:
They'll flutter to and fro,
while sprinkling their magic
wherever they may go.
As all the children sleep,
they'll enchant them in dreams
with toys and with candy
too real these visions seem.

While one is of Heaven,
The other is of myth,
they'll both bring to Christmas
their own special gift.
These things may seem simple,
but a difference they will make.
We'll only find this out
on Christmas when we wake.

I wish I may.
I wish I might.
Through this day or this night.
My eyes now open to this harsh reality,
that all these mistakes mean fatality.
Lie upon lie,
truths buried deep within my soul.
How much will this toll?
Move after move,
I have nothing to rightfully prove.
