The Tournament

I thought it was the 13 too..... and i was really looking forward to it.

i was at roberts house today and looking through his decks (i was buying dragon quest 8 but not the stratagy guid) and i thought we should have a card turnament sometime like any tcg's as a multi-turny. good idear?

oh you mean something like magic the gathering? what about regular cards, you know something like poker?

oh you mean something like magic the gathering? what about regular cards, you know something like poker?

It would be any and all kinds of card games (regular, TCG, etc), BUT, the entire focus would be card games, not so much on video games, ok?

So if we were to make this happen, you'd have to come hear with that thought in mind.

And if we have anything at my house again, I recommend a few of you folks bring a few bucks to help pay for any food we might order (money's a bit tight nowadays).



Does this sound like a good idea to a decent amount of peopls here? It doesn't have to be as elaborate as the Tourney itself, since it's just card games.

yeah, i get that now. i think it would be kinda fun. and i could afford three or four bucks

I need a date and time.
I'll bring Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magick: The Gathering, Chaotic, DuelMasters, and Redemption (If anyone can figur out how to play it (60 PAGE RULEBOOK!!!)).

I can also bring 5 or 6 decks of regular playing cards, and a ton of dice.

I'm fine with the "entry fee" idea, but instead of cash, could I bring snacks?

Well, I was personally thinking either the first or second week in August, one of which I believe will be Marian Days. I figured none of us would really be doing anything at that time. Or even next week perhaps. Really, it's gotta be within the next three weeks, because after that, many of us will be heading off to our various places of torment, namely school and/or work.

A Sunday would probably be best again, right?

I'll also cut you all a deal, if you all buy at least $30 bucks total of my games I'm trying to get rid of, none of you will have to worry about paying anything. I realize that sounds rather strange, but why would you pay for my games, then have to pay more for walking in the door? You don't have to pay me before the party, I won't mind if you pay at the party.

And don't worry about bringing regular cards, I got more then plenty of those.
