Eliester

This is a game idea for a full-scale video rpg game, focused on the characters Aeryo and Anna as the fight through the world of Eliester in an attempt to save Aeryo's parents and right the many wrongs in their dying world.

(More coming later)

Anyway, if you guys have any ideas that you would like to include, or if you want to make mention of some of your favorite aspects of your favorite video games, all help is welcome.

i added my answer, but you left, so continuing off what you said in the chatter box:

if that's the case, then the only way to go out is up, no? if the platforms are leading up another floor, i guess that's where i'd go

And...more important yet, should you be able to kill the guards?

chase? hmm....that would make it more difficult, so maybe yes.
not kill, but seeing as how he has a sling shot, and there's probably lava rocks, maybe knock em out?

Knocking out would be the equivalent of killing in most games. I'm questioning whether or not the guards should be able to recapture you and put you in prison or if you can just run through killing all of them.

i see, well i guess the question to ask here, then is, who's your target consumer?

Target consumer?? OH! Umm...idk. It's an E game and I kinda mean for it to be Everyone...but I guess mainly teenagers.

well, ok, then. teenagers like to kill bad guys, so maybe yes. you also have to think that if it's the younger teenagers, probably their parents are buying it for them, so you can't make it too bad

Again it's going to be an E or E10+ game, so there won't be any blood and guts...

I shall make the first half full of sneak and stealth where you have to avoid the guards and the second half where you bowl through and kill al the guards!

lol, but what would be the trigger that changes it from stealth to desperate killing? getting found out?

I'm thinking of moving killing the bombadier beetle mini-boss to later in the volcano, so before you do that the guards are unalerted, but after you kill the mini-boss they're all after you.

ummm, i like missions and mini-games but i wouldn't know if i'd want a lot of em.

I'm not sure about mini-games but there are opportunities for missions. If you talk to Hadina the witch she'll send you on a mission to find artifiacts or jewels or plants in exchange for upping your magic power.

i see.

Also there's a traveling circus that travels around the dragon land, giving shows for royal entertainment (or entertainment at a royal price). if you find them sometimes they'll ask you to participate in some act or another, and once you're done they'll give you different abilities.
