I thought I would never lose
I should have watched the fuse
Now it is too late
I have chosen my fate

I can't fix it or make it right
To drain my head
This poem I write
What should I have said

I can't turn back
Just to go down the same track
Hope that time will heal
I know that the pain is real

Unexpected

I thought I knew every move
I was stuck in a dull groove
It takes very little for me to smile
Something I haven't done in awhile
Then out of nowhere you appeared
Never to come, so I feared
No longer am I afraid of surprises
My stomach filled with butterflies
Laughing and grins upon my face
The speed of my heart begins to race
My happiness came, unexpected
The pain is now deflected

Thoughts

I am not sure that I can comprehend
The things coming around the bend
What is going on in your mind?
The train of thought, for me to find
My emotions to hide from you
The mask completely see-through
I cannot hide from you, the feeling
Of my heart and how it is reeling

It’s Over

The mood changes and feelings fade
Regardless of plans that we made
I feel us drifting away farther apart
The reason I did not give my whole heart
I did not want to throw all of me in
Just to be disappointed in the end
I tried to bridge the gap between us
But all we do is fight and fuss
